School Support

When we come into a school, we don’t just do the presentation and disappear. We have a presence during break times, which gives students the opportunity to speak to us without anyone else around.

Part of the work of our organisation is to support schools who may have a problem around drug and/or alcohol abuse. We have more than one hundred years’ experience between us of working in the substance misuse field, and this gives us the knowledge of where to signpost and support. There are a number of schools who use this service.

As an organisation, we aspire to give students the truth about drug and alcohol misuse. We train people in recovery to work with us. They have the experience of being the person on the street hustling for their next fix. They teach young people that it is not fun, not glamorous, but has extremely serious consequences.

Family Support

We also have vast amounts of experience of giving support to families, whose children are caught up in addiction. Parents often do not know where to turn for help. They often have no idea what to do. We can support families how to cope with this behaviour. Recommending organisations that work with, and support parents through this most difficult time.

At any time we can call on: an addict, an addict’s parents, an addict’s partner or even someone who has been affected by the consequences of substance misuse of a friend.

We have specialised services that work with Challenging Behaviour and students who cannot attend mainstream school. Working with Pupil Behavioural Units has become an important part of our work.

Business Support

We are extremely proud of the service we are offering to the car manufacturing trade. We run workshops for apprentices in this field. The companies are delighted with our workshops to their apprentices of Drug and Alcohol Abuse in the workplace. We have worked for a number of these companies such as VW, Audi, Mazda, Scoda, Vauxhall and BMW.
